-1, It better include CARBONDATA-3483 in version 1.6. From 1.5.3, the horizontal compaction can not be executed when execute update sql, which will generate many small carbondata.

I'd suggest the NPE related fix merged into this version, like CARBONDATA-3466, CARBONDATA-3482, CARBONDATA-3452. So -1.
