Grabbing a car for a Moscow trip

Giamah
Right lads, heading over to Moscow for a proper city break and I'm a bit lost with the car hire malarkey. Should I just grab something at the airport or sort it ahead online? What's the best crack for getting around without getting shafted?

Never just rock up to the desk at Domodedovo or Sheremetyevo without a booking, during any half-busy season you'll be left with some battered motor or a silly price. Loads of travellers sort a decent rental online and just grab the car on arrival, especially around Moscow where the aggregators show compact saloons for peanuts if you book a week ahead. You can browse what is left for your dates on this site https://getrentacar.com/en-US/russia/moscow .

Get a car with a proper alarm and don't leave anything visible on the seats. Parking wardens tow quick here, and a smashed window for a jacket costs way more than the hire itself.
